Safey keeps documents, photos and passwords in an encrypted vault on your own device. What makes it different is what happens when someone tries to force it open: it photographs them, and it gives you a second passcode that opens a decoy.
A locked app is only as strong as what happens when somebody makes you unlock it. Most vault apps solve encryption and stop there, which leaves the one scenario that actually frightens people — being handed your own phone and told to open it — completely unaddressed.
A vault encrypted on-device with AES-256, so nothing readable ever leaves the phone. Failed unlock attempts are photographed silently. A separate decoy passcode opens an empty vault and sends you an alert, so complying under pressure costs you nothing.
Safey is live on the App Store and has passed App Review through several releases, currently at version 3.5. More than a hundred people use it each month, and it converted its first paying subscriber in July 2026.
