eVet (“we”, “the app”) helps you keep track of your pets’ health. We respect your privacy and keep your data minimal and yours. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address (and name, if you provide it) when you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google.
- Pet data you enter: pet profiles, vaccinations, weight, vet visits, medications, appointments, vets, and notes.
- Photos & documents: images you choose to add for your pets or records.
- Notification token: if you enable reminders, a device push token so we can send appointment reminders.
How we use it
- To store and display your pets’ information across your devices.
- To send reminders you ask for (vaccines, check-ups, appointments).
- To operate and improve the app.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Where it’s stored
Your data is stored in your private account on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). It is scoped to your account — other users cannot read it. Photos and documents are kept in your private storage folder.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage and push messaging.
- Sign in with Apple / Google — only if you choose to use them, to authenticate you.
- The Dog API — to show breed reference information and photos (no personal data sent).
Your choices
- Edit or delete any record at any time within the app.
- Turn reminders off in Preferences.
- Request account deletion, which removes your data from eVet, by emailing us.
Children
eVet is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
